My Commitment to You;
When you become a BookeepKerr bookkeeping client, you entrust me with sensitive
personal and financial information about you, your customers, vendors and
employees. I recognize that your relationship with me is based on trust and
that you expect me to act responsibly and in your best interests. Because I
have access to this private information about you, I hold myself to the highest
standards in its safekeeping and use. This means, most importantly, that I do
not sell client information to anyone whether it is your personal or financial
information regardless if you are a current or former BookeepKerr bookkeeping client.
The Information I Collect About You
In the course of doing business with
my clients, I collect nonpublic personal information about you from some or all
of the following sources:
"Nonpublic personal information" is
personally identifiable private information about you or your company For
example, it includes information regarding your name and address, Social
Security or taxpayer identification number, assets, income, account balance,
bank account information and investment activity (e.g., purchase and
redemption history
How I Handle Your Personal
Information
As emphasized above, I do not sell information about current or former
clients or their accounts to third parties. Nor do I share such information,
except when necessary to complete transactions at your request or to make you
aware of related services that I offer. Additional details about how I handle your personal information is provided
below. To complete certain transactions or account changes that you direct, it
may be necessary to provide identifying information to companies, individuals
or groups that are not affiliated with BookeepKerr
Bookkeeping. For example, if you ask to
transfer assets from another financial institution to another, I will need to
provide certain information about you to that company to complete the
transaction. In certain instances, I may contract with nonaffiliated companies
to perform services for me. Where necessary, I will disclose information I have about you to these third parties. In all
such cases, I provide the third party with only the information necessary to
carry out its assigned responsibilities and only for that purpose. And I
require these third parties to treat your private information with the same high
degree of confidentiality that I do. In certain instances, I may share
.information with other financial institutions regarding individuals and
entities in response to the U.S.A. Patriot Act. Finally, I will release
information about you if you direct me to do so, if I am compelled by law to do
so or in other circumstances permitted/ mandated by law.
Opt Out Provisions
I do not sell your personal
information to anyone. The law allows you to "opt out" of only
certain kinds of information sharing with third parties. BookeepKerr does not share personal information about you
with any third parties that triggers this opt-out right. This means YOU ARE
ALREADY OPTED OUT.
How I Safeguard Your Personal
Information
I restrict access to nonpublic
personal information about clients to
third parties (for example, the service providers described above) as
permitted by law. I maintain strict physical, electronic and procedural
safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal
information.
I'll Keep You Informed
As required by federal law, I will
notify clients of my privacy policy annually. I reserve the right to modify
this policy at any time, but rest assured that if I do change it, I will tell
you promptly. You will also be able to access my privacy policy from my web
